The street is unpredictable and we strive to give you the most complete education possible. Our beginner program is split into Krav Maga classes and fight classes. Krav Maga provides techniques for specific scenarios such as abductions, weapon attacks, and chokes. Fight classes teach you to defend punches and kicks. This is similar to kickboxing or Muay Thai but with the knowledge that on the street there are no rules or referees.
Krav Maga is a self defense system created by Imrich Lichtenfeld and was first developed to help protect his community against anti-semitic violence in the early 1940s. Imi began training various military and police forces and, when the State of Israel was founded, he was put in charge of training the IDF. This military system was later modified to work for civilians of all walks of life and from there has spread across the globe.
In sport-fighting, athletes are separated by gender, weight class, and experience level but, on the street, no such fair practice exists. We teach techniques effective for the smallest individual against the largest aggressor. That being said, anyone who says that size and strength don't matter in a fight is someone who has not been in a fight with someone much bigger than themselves. Our solution: Don't Fight Fair. What we teach will get you kicked out of any martial arts tournament but it will also get you back home to those you care about.
At our school you will test your skill against instructors suited up to take the punishment. Our classes will build skill and endurance in a safe way, taking care of your fellow students, making sure you aren't limping at work the next day. However, if you want to feel for a real street fight without risk of injury sign up for one of our seminars that includes fight scenarios. We will put on a realistic attack and won't go stop until you have put a fight finishing strike on us! This is also amazing adrenaline inoculation to address the effects of adrenaline when it happens on the street.
